ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Groovivo begins with listening.

Groovivo is a practice for dancers who know the moves but want to stop repeating them mechanically. We explore how to hear music and respond through weight, breath and your own movement.

The focus is pulse, musical phrasing, pauses, accents and changing energy. You do not need to read music or know music theory: you can begin with what your body already feels.

For social dancers at different levels, dance teachers and anyone curious about moving more attentively with music.
